We Never Give Up On Survivors
Selah Freedom provides outreach on the streets and in the jails through our sex trade support group, case management and resources for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Selah Freedom partners with local law enforcement as the first point of contact for individuals identified as trafficking victims or at high risk of being recruited into trafficking. We are also proud to partner with the FBI, the United States Attorney’s Office, multiple Human Trafficking Task Forces and more, to reach survivors and bring them life-saving solutions.
Survivors who are still “in the life” are able to attend weekly groups and receive the resources they need, as well as build a trusting relationship with Selah Freedom. Once an individual is ready to step into freedom, Selah Freedom brings them into a place of safety and restoration.
Selah Freedom is proud to employ the deeply effective TYLA (Turn Your Life Around) Program, developed in 2014 as one of the first of its kind in the country. TYLA is a deeply effective approach to prostitution diversion. It incorporates outreach, strong collaboration with community organizations, the judicial system, State Attorney’s Office and a re-directed law enforcement philosophy. Through the TYLA Program, survivors are supported by Selah Freedom’s expert Outreach team during judicial proceedings and are eligible to have all prostitution-relation arrests expunged from their record.

A Safe Home to Rest, Restore & Relaunch
Our Residential Program is a holistic approach to restoration. Survivors, who have had everything stolen from them, get the stability and rest they need to dream again! While in our program, survivors are equipped with the wrap around services and resources they need to be free. They can also accomplish goals they never knew were possible to tackle – things like getting their GED, reconnecting with their children and family, getting driver’s license and even learning to swim. 87% of survivor graduates of our Residential Program do not return to “the life.”

First, survivors enter the Rest Phase, which allows them to reflect and decide if they are prepared to move forward with stepping into the new life Selah Freedom offers.
The second phase is the Restore Phase, where women receive a personalized education plan, medical aid, trauma therapy, job placement, case management and restorative services. They also have the opportunity to build healthy and safe relationships that will follow them into their final stage of the program.
The final stage is the Relaunch Phase, in which survivors receive individualized planning and assistance with living independently, career goals and continued support. Selah Freedom is there with them every step of the way through their transformation!
Selah Freedom is not a crisis center or shelter, but is a long-term solution for 18+ American survivors of sex trafficking and/or exploitation. If a survivor is ready to start a new life outside of what they have known, Selah Freedom is the perfect place to start.

Callers to the intake phone will be connected with an Outreach Support Specialist and a needs assessment will be completed and referrals made based on identified needs. The safety and anonymity of each survivor is of utmost importance, therefore callers can be assured that all information shared will be treated with discretion and confidentially.
